OIA staff at international conference in Boston

Twenty staff members from the Office of International Affairs traveled to Boston, Massachusetts for the 2015 National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA) Conference this week. Representatives from International Student and Scholar Services are meeting with partner institutions and study abroad staff are unveiling GEO (Global Education Oregon), the merger of AHA International and UO Study Abroad.

More than 300 international education organizations are attending the 2015 conference where professionals in international higher education will hear from speakers, attend workshops, and participate in the Expo Hall. The week-long event allows colleagues from around the globe to meet and engage effectively.

Conference attendees are invited to attend the GEO Launch Party Thursday evening at the historic Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum where they will be given private access to the Eleanor and the Beaver, two authentically restored colonial tall ships.

NAFSA promotes the professional development of U.S. college and university officials responsible for assisting and advising international students and students who study abroad. NAFSA is the largest association of professionals committed exclusively to advancing international higher education.
