"I’m deeply grateful for my time at the University of Oregon. It was the only U.S. institution I applied to, drawn by its distinctive niche offerings in my field and its strong commitment to interdisciplinary research. That promise was fulfilled in ways that shaped me profoundly, both intellectually and personally. Set on the Indigenous lands of the Kalapuya people, the university’s setting offered an atmosphere of contemplative reflection. Support systems like a strong graduate union, affordable university housing, and a free public transit made a real difference to quality of life. My time here has been one of transformation. Being at the University of Oregon has been both a joy and a privilege — an experience I will always carry with me forever, wherever I go."
