A Message on the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak

In light of the continued spread of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), we want to provide the UO international community with key information.

For now, the U.S. government has declared a travel ban for foreign nationals who have been in China recently.

For international students, scholars, and staff who have already returned to the U.S., your health and that of the University of Oregon community is a top priority for us. In the interest of protecting you and the community around you, please follow the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines for travelers from China

For the latest updates and a complete list of Frequently Asked Questions about the novel coronavirus, visit the UO's Coronavirus Information website.

If you are a UO international student or scholar affected by the recent travel restrictions due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, visit the ISSS Immigration FAQs After Coronavirus Travel Restrictions to learn more about your options.

At the UO, we care deeply about the health, safety, and welfare of all of our students, faculty, and staff, especially those who are far from home. Please know that all members of the Division of Global Engagement are here for you and will assist you in any way the university is able.

Sincerely,

Dennis Galvan, Dean and Vice Provost
Division of Global Engagement
