UO students organize vigil for victims of earthquake in Nepal

UO international students have organized a vigil to remember the more than 7,000 victims of the Nepal earthquake and launch a fundraiser to help with rescue and relief efforts.

"We have more than 100 people who are coming for the vigil," says Anjani Lama, a UO international student whose village in Nepal was completely destroyed. "We have been working really hard doing fundraising for Nepal."

The candlelight vigil will take place on Tuesday, May 5 at the EMU amphitheater from 7-8:30 pm.
