Education New Zealand and the University of Otago have recently announced study abroad scholarships for the 2015 year.

Scholarships are offered as part of New Zealand’s Generation Abroad initiative.

The Education New Zealand Study Abroad Travel Awards (ENTZA) offer $2,000 to help students fund their flight to New Zealand. Generation Study Abroad New Zealand Universities Excellence Awards (NZUEA) offer $500 to help students fund their studies. Selection is based upon the application form and accompanying documents. Applicants will be informed of the selection within six weeks of the submission deadline.

ENTZA and NZUEA applications deadlines are December 1, 2014 (for winter/spring 2015) and April 30, 2014 (for fall 2015).

In addition, GoOverseas.com, the New Zealand government, and STA Travel have partnered to provide a $15,000 NZD tuition scholarship to study abroad in New Zealand. In addition, the award will cover up to $2,500 towards the cost of flight. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must complete and submit the online application by October 15, 2014 (for winter/spring 2015 and fall 2015).
