The Chinese Philanthropic Leadership Association is hosting a variety game competition called “Running Duck” on April 17th. Proceeds from the event help fund CPLA’s summer project, Zero Waste, a sustainability and recycling campaign in China.

CPLA helps students interested in developing work in China through real-life, philanthropic projects. Focusing on improving the quality of life, some of CPLA’s past projects include; a summer-camp to help inspire orphaned children to continue their education, and visiting orphaned children’s homes and helping them with their daily chores.

Running Duck consists of games such as a running race, building a tower out of noodles and tape, and an elimination tag game.

Members of CPLA wish to make this an annual and iconic event which helps fund their summer projects every year. Running Duck provides an opportunity for both domestic and international students to mingle and have a more positive understanding between cultures.

Individuals can register for $10 or groups up to five participants can register for $40. Students who wish to participate in the event can register at cplauo.org and must register by April 15th
