His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet will deliver a lecture at the University of Oregon’s Matthew Knight Arena on Friday, May 10. The 2 p.m. lecture, "The Path to Peace and Happiness in the Global Society," is open to UO students, faculty and staff as well as members of the public.
The UO appearance is organized by the University of Oregon and Nyengyud Samten Choeling, a Tibetan Buddhist study and meditation center in Eugene. It will be part of a May 9-11 visit to Oregon by His Holiness the Dalai Lama for an environmental summit sponsored by Maitripa College, a Buddhist institution in Portland.
