Webinar on marketing and distributing clean cooking solutions

Where: Online

In 2012, the Alliance released the Pilot Innovation Fund (PIF) to finance the proof of concept of innovative approaches along the clean cooking value chain. In return for seed capital to finance and pilot these innovations, recipients have agreed to document and share lessons learned. This webinar will feature the stories and results from 2 of last year’s PIF recipients focused on the areas of marketing and distribution of clean cooking solutions. The agenda for the webinar is as follows:

·           Stevie Valdez from the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves will give an overview of the Pilot Innovation Fund and provide tips on how to prepare a successful application.

·           Francesca Jones and Ankit Mathur from Greenway Grameen Infra will discuss their above the line marketing campaign to distribute the Greenway Smart Stove in India and lessons learned in the areas of planning a marketing campaign, dealer networks and consumer preferences in India.

·           Carlo Figa Talamanca from Sustainable Green Fuel Enterprise will discuss his initial pilot plan to test a hub and spoke distribution model for the distribution and franchising of Char-briquettes in Cambodia to create a second distribution hub, lessons learned, and SGFE’s new approach to distribution of char briquettes in Cambodia.

These presentations will be followed by a questions and answers session moderated by Julie Ipe, Senior Associate of Knowledge Management at the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.
