Associate Coordinator, Mills International Center

Sara joined the Mills Center team in 2009 after moving from North Carolina where she had been working with immigrants and refugees. Originally from the US Midwest, Sara has also lived in Montana, Spain, Mexico, and Costa Rica. At the Mills Center, Sara supervises 24 student employees from around the globe and creates a space that students, both US and international, can call a home-away-from-home. Her graduate research, for her MA in International Studies, was on the impact of study abroad from the perspective of host mothers in Costa Rica. Sara is delighted to have spent the last four years as an actor in the theater troupe for social change, Rehearsals for Life, and enjoys playing soccer.

The Mills International Center has a student staff team of 15 students from all around the world – Eugene to the Himalayas. Positions include Resource Consultants, Program Managers, Public Relations Manager, Graphic Designer, Videographer, Art Curator, and Office Manager.
