J-1 STUDENTS

The University of Oregon welcomes students from all over the world to join its educational community. Situated in one of the nation's most vibrant communities, the university's location coupled with its excellent faculty and extensive academic resources make the UO one of the most desired educational destinations for visiting students. The Office of International Affairs offers a wide variety of programs to help meet each student's academic and professional goals and will assist you with the admissions process of becoming a UO student while on an exchange or sponsored program. Current exchange and sponsored students: see the menu to the left to explore a topic of interest.

New Exchange and Sponsored Students

The Office of International Affairs will assist you with the process of becoming an exchange student at the UO. Please contact your university's international exchange coordinator or contact the UO's Office of International Affairs at exchange@uoregon.edu.

If you are a student who has received a scholarship or sponsorship through international education organizations such as Fulbright, AMIDEAST, Brazil Science Mobility Program (BSMP), USAID, LASPAU or IREX, please contact exchange@uoregon.edu or refer to your university's international office, or the office representing these organizations in your country for placement and funding information.

If you are not attending one of the exchange partner universities that has an established exchange agreement with the UO or OUS, please contact undergraduate admissions or graduate admissions for information regarding international student admission.

Continuing Exchange and Sponsored Students

Exchange and sponsored students are encouraged to keep in touch with their home universities or sponsoring organizations with regards to extending their academic plan. Also, plan to set up an appointment with the Office of International Affairs for assistance and advice. Call 541-346-3206.
