Apply to the UOIn order to study at the University of Oregon you will first need to apply for admission and be admitted. If you are a graduate student you may be accepted by your academic department before the UO Office of Admissions officially admits you. Submit the UO Transfer In FormIn order to receive an I-20 or DS-2019 from the UO, you must give your previous school the Receive your I-20 or DS-2019 After the Transfer Release Date, the UO will produce your new transfer I-20 or DS-2019 and mail it to you. If you have changed your mailing address since you submitted the UO Transfer In Form, please send an email to the SEVIS Coordinator at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to update your address. This will ensure that you will receive your new I-20 at the correct address. Visa InterviewIf you are a transfer student and you leave the U.S. before coming to the UO, you may be required to apply for a new F-1 visa. Be sure to check the expiration date of your visa before you make travel plans. If you must apply for a new visa, be sure to schedule your visa interview in advance and bring your new UO transfer I-20 with you to your visa interview. For more information about the visa interview, click here. If your visa is valid you may leave the U.S. and re-enter using the new UO transfer I-20, without applying for a new visa. Your visa will always show your first school that you attended in the U.S. until it expires and you apply for a new visa.
