Because of the high cost of health care in the United States, University of Oregon international students and their accompanying dependents are required to have health and accident insurance which meets University of Oregon requirements.

The UO offers a plan that is designed to meet the needs of international students. The plan provides coverage for treatment at the UO Health Center as well as treatment anywhere in the U.S.

International students will be automatically enrolled and billed for the student insurance premium on their tuition bill. Students must complete an online enrollment process and update their address in their DuckWeb account to recieve their insurance card. Click here to read more details about the plan and how to enroll.

Students may use their own insurance as long as the insurance coverage meets UO requirements. See insurance plan requirements under Health Insurance Waiver. Students must fill out an online form to complete the waiver process.
