Insurance PDF Print E-mail

Because of the high cost of health care in the United States, University of Oregon international students and their accompanying dependents are required to have health and accident insurance which meets University of Oregon requirements.

The UO offers a plan that is designed to meet the needs of international students. The plan provides coverage for treatment at the UO Health Center as well as treatment anywhere in the U.S.

International students will be automatically billed for the student insurance premium on their tuition bill. Students do not need to complete an enrollment form unless they wish to insure family members.

Students may use their own insurance as long as the insurance coverage meets UO requirements. See insurance plan requirements under Health Insurance Waiver.
