OIA wins CASE Award for Global Research map site

The Office of International Affairs and its Global Studies Institute have received a 2015 Silver Award in the category of websites from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) for their Global Research interactive map project.

The UO Global Research interactive map project was designed through the first half of 2014 and included the design of a site (http://globalresearch.uoregon.edu/), assembly of three interactive screens, construction of two screen stands, content editing, and the production of 174 faculty videos.

The project was featured and presented to the public during the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships held at historic Hayward Field last July.

The University of Oregon is part of the CASE District VIII, a region that includes schools from the U.S. Pacific Northwest and west Canada. District awards honor everything from annual reports to websites, distinguished service to new professionals, and everything in between.
